The topic of Product-Service Systems design has historically gathered plentiful interest within and outside the Design Society. 

Looking at the Proceedings of the last 4 editions of the International Conference on Engineering Design (ICED), one can find a total of 79 papers related to PSS.

These include all contributions that feature the term Product-Service Systems either in the title, in the keywords or as central theme in the paper.

The 22nd International Conference on Engineering Design (ICED’19) organised in Delft (The Netherlands) featured a total of 19 papers, which is slightly less than the 24 contributions published at the ICED’17 conference in Vancouver.

In 2015, 20 articles were presented in Milan, denoting a small increasing trend from the ICED’13 in Seaoul, which featured 16 publications.

These papers were authored or co-authored by 65 different academic institutions or organizations, from 20 different countries.

Sweden tops the list or contributors with 32 items, followed by Germany with 15 papers and South Korea with 12.
