The workshop organised by the PSS SIG at the DESIGN'22 conference 'played' with different tools and working modes to investigate the issue of how to ‘intentionally design’ PSS in a way to promote responsible consumption and resource preserving behaviours among consumers.
The workshop kicked-off with a warm-up exercise for all participants in the Mentimeter platform, and by an intro talk reviewing the concept of ‘responsible consumption’ in the realm of PSS. These were followed up by a panel discussion with Prof Yong Se Kim (University of Turku), Ass. prof. Daniella Pigosso (Technical University of Denmark) and Prof. Tobias Larsson (Blekinge Institute of Technology) - on how PSS can be designed to affect consumer behaviour and to provide consumer-led experiences that will foster responsible consumption with active engagement. The workshop was rounded up by a late session (in smaller groups) to discuss more in detail how Shared micromobility PSS shall be ‘intentionally designed’ to foster responsible consumption.
The full recordings of the workshop are accessible to DESIGN´22 participants in the Hopin platform, while video highlights of the workshop results are available at this link.
